· Course Assistant for CS 115: Introduction to Computer Science, a Python-centered course covering recursive algorithms, asymptotic analysis, object-oriented programming, Python functions, sorting algorithms, and computer hardware
· Responsible for hosting weekly office hours and lab sections where I aided students in their coursework and labwork and helped them better understand the material. Each lab section starts with an overview of newly-learned concepts followed by a programming lab assignment to help put their knowledge and problem-solving skills to the test.
· Met with professor and fellow course assistants weekly to help develop and decide on upcoming course topics and assignments, along with discussing concerns and ideas brought up by students.
· Graded student homeworks, lab assignments, in-class quizzes, and paper exams and provided feedback on mistakes
· Created automated testing scripts to help the course assistant team easily and quickly judge the correctness of students’ submissions on lab assignments, including comparisons of correct output vs. student output with automated .txt files
