Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Greater Denver Area I was reclassified into the senior software engineer position based on previous successes in anchoring teams and continued technical growth. In this role, I: - Lead the effort to migrate our data services off of VMs (deployed with BOSH) and onto Kubernetes ### Software Engineer @ Pivotal Software, Inc. Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Greater Denver Area I was reclassified into this position due to professional growth and an increase in abilities and responsibilities. I continued specializing in operations and infrastructure and helped implement features on the backend of the app in Ruby. Additionally, I served as an anchor of the virtual devops team and the infrastructure pod. My duties as anchor for the devops group includes: - Onboarding new engineers to the on-call rotation - Chairing a weekly status meeting to discuss incidents and prep the upcoming on-call pair - Advising the team on any devops related areas of concern with the running app As the anchor for the infrastructure team, I was responsible for advocating for engineering concerns with the product owner, assisting in keeping the engineering team productive, and ensuring regular processes occur such as periodic retrospectives. ### Associate Software Engineer @ Pivotal Software, Inc. Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 I was a member of the infrastructure pod on the Pivotal Tracker team. In my time in this position and on this pod, I assisted with implementing both client side and server side support for Emoji characters, and migrating our infrastructure from AWS to GCP. Additionally, I joined our team's devops group and on-call rotation to periodically be the first point of contact for production incidents during all hours of the day (inside and outside of business hours). ### Student Assistant III @ NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Boulder, Colorado Continued writing and maintaining software to aid in the discoverability of data. I assisted in training and enhancing software used to mint digital object identifiers (DOIs) for datasets. This was to aid in their ability to be cited in other works.
