Reservoir Simulation:
• Led the development of a reservoir grid package that supports dynamic load balancing, dynamic refinement/coarsening, and unstructured meshing
• Lead developer of parallel I/O modules, supporting giga-cell reservoir models
• Developed and implemented a patent-pending, optimization-based method for modeling reservoirs with tilted oil/water contacts
• Contributed to linear and nonlinear solver development
Petroleum Systems Modeling:
• Lead developer of hydrocarbon migration package. Developed a patent-pending method for faster migration analysis using advanced data structures, and implemented in a parallel environment
• Lead developer of finite element based thermal modeling package, including discretization and solver integration
• Co-developer of basin grid package which supported complex deposition and erosion environments, dynamic load-balancing and refinement
Led internal code review initiative, coordinating review and integration
