Worked for 13 weeks in C, C++ and Python to detect unused files in the root file system of servers running in production. Implemented a kernel module to track opened files, a user space program to poll for the opened file names and write to log files, a script to collect the file names in the distribution assigned to the machines, and a MapReduce job to analyze the collected data and output a table of opened files and files which were potential candidates for removal.

Finally, I used HTML and CSS to update parts of the Community page on the company website, making it more interactive and user-friendly.
