[Core Achievement]
Developed a large-scale Accounting Event Processing system for the Verizon Thingspace IoT platform, processing 1.7 billion events from 65 million IoT devices daily. The architecture is highly scalable, capable of handling up to 4 billion events from 200 million devices daily. (Reference: thingspace.verizon.com)
[Infrastructure & Deployment]
Successfully deployed the system on the Verizon On-premise Kubernetes Cloud Platform (VCP) production cluster in June 2025.
Engineered all microservices in Golang/Java, containerized with Docker, and orchestrated as Kubernetes Pods.
Designed a resilient communication layer using Kafka/REST APIs/gRPC.
[High Availability & Reliability]
Ensured High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) across three data centers through redundant clusters and Kafka Cluster Linking.
Conducted comprehensive resource analysis (CPU, Memory, Network, PVC) and enforced Multi-tenancy security via Namespaces, RBAC, Service Accounts, and Roles.
[Data Engineering & Scalability]
Architected an optimized data layer: PostgreSQL for device metadata, Redis for request/response caching, MS SQL Server for account information, and Cassandra for high-volume raw event storage.
Optimized Kafka infrastructure (Brokers, Partitions, and Cluster Linking) to maximize parallel processing efficiency for subscribers and consumers.
[Observability & SRE]
Established full-stack observability using Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk for proactive incident detection and platform stability as part of SRE responsibilities.
Streamlined delivery via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
[OMA-DM and LM-M2M IoT Device Management Service Development]
Developed Customer-facing REST API servers in Golang for FoTA(firmware upgrades), location tracking, and diagnostics services deployed on AWS/EKS.
[Verizon FiOS Home Gateway Service Development]
Engineered the Verizon Fios Smart Home Gateway, integrated into Fios Home Internet Routers using Golang and C on Embedded Linux.
