My professional background prior to software development was in retail where I worked in buying, planning, and merchandising. I decided to make the switch to software engineering when I realized the things I liked most about my jobs in retail were the systems and excel related responsibilities. At Flatiron I worked with and learned how to use JavaScript/React/Python/Flask and Git amongst other skills. I built a total of five projects including a Python game as well as a full stack website that served as my graduation project.
