Across my career at early-stage startups like Zendoor and Duckbill, I’ve been an engineer who willingly steps into complex, fast-moving environments and builds technical foundations that enable scale and future growth.
Experience
Duckbill is a consumer-facing AI assistant that blends automation with human copilots to handle everyday life admin tasks. I led the frontend team across the mobile app, web app, and browser extension during a period of fast product growth.
I focused on building solid technical foundations while driving rapid, high-quality feature development.
Key contributions:
Led the multi-platform frontend engineering team. Worked closely with product and design team members to plan roadmaps and iterate on the product.
Unified the React Native, React web, and browser extension apps into an Nx monorepo with standardized tooling and shared libraries to create a stable backbone for quick, high-quality output, and an amazing developer experience.
Shipped core features from task workflows and real-time messaging, onboarding, account management, and payments.
Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines that enforced strict type-safety, linting/formatting, testing, predictable releases.
Led and mentored senior frontend engineers, shaped architectural decisions, and onboarded new hires to get productive on our codebase quickly.
The theme of my role was being a force multiplier for other developers on our team. When I wasn't building features, I was tightening technical direction and building systems that let us move quickly, produce good code, keep a lean team, and have an awesome developer experience.
Technologies Used: TypeScript, React, React Native, Expo, EAS Cloud, Cloudflare, Heroku, Nx, Redux/RTK Query, WebSockets, Python, Django, Vite/Vitest, Jest, Playwright, Maestro, Sentry, Segment, Tailwind, Mantine, GitHub Actions, Retool.

Zendoor was an end-to-end property management software (PMS) with web and mobile apps for residents, technicians, property managers, and property owners.
For most of the first year, I worked remotely for free, during Covid-19 lockdown. We weren’t building a point-solution and we tackled the entire property management software stack from the ground-up. In under a year, Zendoor launched a scrappy MVP and raised a seed round. I owned major parts of the product and helped build the system from zero to a fully-functioning PMS.
Key contributions:
Built production mobile apps used daily for rent payments, maintenance flows, messaging, and technician routing.
Designed and maintained full-stack software that supported the entire day-to-day workflow for property managers, based on their direct feedback.
Worked directly with residents, technicians, and property managers to understand friction points and translate them into product improvements over time.
Developed core features like rental applications, account management, financial workflows, and the internal operations team’s tooling.
Helped shape early engineering conventions like testing patterns, deployment workflows, cross-team development practices, and several other developer tooling that helped us keep our engineering team extremely lean, with unbelievable output.
My focus at Zendoor was building software around complex business logic and operation workflows to build a scrappy MVP for the initial launch, then later, robust software that helped us ship and iterate quickly, much faster than our competitors.
Zendoor was acquired in 2023.
Technologies Used: React, Remix, Vite, React Native, Typescript, Jest, Cypress, Elixir, GraphQL, Tailwind, Twilio, Azure, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Fastlane, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Docker, Terraform, Github Actions.

I co-founded Buzzword Labs with my best-friend from college and built two consumer apps, co-owning architecture, development, and product execution.
Key contributions:
Built and shipped Pepper, a robocall-blocking mobile app that trended on Product Hunt and generated early revenue.
Built FoodFeed, a social and live-streaming app supporting messaging, image posting, and peer-to-peer video calls.
Worked on everything from UI/UX design, backend services, web apps, mobile apps, CI/CD, and talking to users.
This period sharpened my instincts for fast execution, end-to-end product ownership, product intuition, and building with limited resources.
Technologies Used: React, React Native, Typescript, Bootstrap, Twilio, AWS, Redis, Node/Express, Websockets, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Janus WebRTC.
2018 — 2018

Joined as one of the first engineers outside the founding team at a fast-growing YC startup.
Key contributions:
Built early backend integrations with partner airlines in Python/Flask, systems that went on to support several thousands of bookings per month.
Developed seatmap UX and internal tools used by travel-booking operators.
Worked across the stack in a high-velocity environment where reliability and clarity were essential.
This role shaped how I think about scaling early systems and building foundations that last.
Technologies Used: Javascript, React, Python, Flask, PyTest, PostgreSQL, Heroku.
