• Lead a small group of engineers to successfully launch a new startup's core product. Backend in Elixir/Phoenix, with iOS app.
• Maintained and updated a Nuxt.js based e-learning website, working directly with the client as a solo developer.
• Built a new developer documentation website with Gastby.js for a database services company, working directly with the client.
• As part of a team, developed complex contract-management software in Ruby/Rails for a large agricultural company.
• At multiple companies, embedded myself in their engineering departments to provide Ruby/Rails expertise.

Senior Software Engineer, Distribution (March 2017 - October 2017)
• Built new micro-services to drastically improve performance of important legacy software. 
• Worked in Go, Ruby, and React.

Senior Software Engineer, Life Insurance (Jan 2016 - March 2017)
• Implemented and maintained life insurance support across the company's many pieces of infrastructure.
• Lead engineering decisions and helped drive the future of life insurance marketing at EverQuote.
• Presented weekly to CEO and CTO on performance, design decisions, and A/B test results.
• Wrote Java code to power new and existing partner integrations.
• Transitioned responsibility to the main consumer engineering team once the project grew enough.

Software Engineer, Everquote Pro (June 2014 - Jan 2016)
• Contributed to EverQuote's business facing web application, EverQuote Pro (Rails, Node.js), as part of a team of six.
• Notable features I developed include integration with Salesforce, Zoho, and Zendesk, an automated returns processor, and algorithm improvements to lead distribution estimation.
• Assisted team members with design decisions.
• Released new builds of EverQuote Pro to staging and production environments.
