# Evan Bosia > Software Engineer IV at Kasalis Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/evanbosia I am a robotics software engineer with a broad range of skills and experience. Most of my work has been with robotic-like systems, such as biotech instruments, robotic order picking, or camera lens alignment. My niche is the intersection between physical and digital, coming up with creative solutions to difficult challenges. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer IV @ Kasalis Jan 2025 – Jan 2026 | Burlington, MA As a Software Engineer IV, I worked on the modern node-based architecture for the second generation of Kasalis machines. This included working on defining and implementing features to improve the architecture for future alignment projects. I also led software development for a dual-use active alignment machine that shipped on schedule. I also defined specs and reviewed code for junior engineers. ### Software Engineer III @ Kasalis Jan 2022 – Jan 2025 | Burlington, Massachusetts, United States As a software engineer, I worked to add features to existing factory automation machines between C++, python, and B&R RTOS software. I also led the development effort of a hybrid alignment/tester machine which included working directly with the customer to define requirements. ### Software Engineer (Custom Cells) @ RightHand Robotics, Inc Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Somerville, Massachusetts, United States As a software engineer, my responsibilities were to set up new cells, adjust robot behavior to improve performance, and solve complicated bugs during release. ### R&D Engineer @ Formulatrix Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | Bedford, Massachusetts, United States As an R&D engineer, I worked on different technical aspects of biotech automation equipment (dPCR) with our global mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams. The tasks varied from the technical support of customers to mechanical design to writing software for R&D purposes. ### Dynamic Systems Engineering Intern @ Alpinax Drone Services Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 As a dynamic systems engineering intern, I focused on designing systems to expand the filming and surveying abilities of Alpinax. I worked primarily on SolidWorks projects using SolidWorks Simulation to analyze the designs. The position also included research on motor selection and other off-the-shelf components. ### Mechanical Engineering Intern @ RSA, The Security Division of EMC Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science Boston University ### Mechanical Engineer in Robotics Engineering Worcester Polytechnic Institute ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/evanbosia - Portfolio: https://ejbosia.github.io/index.html --- Source: https://flows.cv/evanbosia JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/evanbosia/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-31
