Lead of the virtual world team and its products

• Rebuilt our maps architecture from the ground up as IC

• Started managing virtual world team of 5 ICs, eventually leading all of product engineering for 2.0 launch

Worked all over the product, including:

• Rearchitected calculating how connected you are to another user's AV into small, composable and testable units. We used to joke that making any change to this part of the codebase would cause a SEV-0. This no longer happens.

• Migrated our largest Firestore collections into Postgres (with zero downtime!) over the course of 5 months.

As the frontend Tech Lead, I

• Architected and led a team of 5 to craft a pixel perfect React frontend. Built features in a complex, distributed backend.

• Designed the headhunting and hiring process from ground zero to grow founding team. Placed 2 senior engineers within 3 months of kickoff.

• Created a dogfooding environment to foster an user-focused culture across all functions.
