Executed migrations, created detailed documentation, and trained other engineers. • Owned capacity planning for Affirm's technical infrastructure. Produced a detailed process, including documentation, monitoring dashboards, and a spreadsheet, that allowed us to compute needed capacity based on current resource usage and projected traffic. • Owner of, and technical expert for, Affirm's Salt infrastructure, used for configuration management and, critically, for deployments. Produced extensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides, how-to's, etc. Troubleshot many errors, and suggested improvements to the infrastructure. • Along with two teammates, successfully delivered on an aggressive goal to stand up an entirely new copy of our tech stack in a new region (Canada) in two months. Fixed Income Technology Integration • After FactSet acquired Derivative Solutions in 2005 for $42M, I worked on a small team responsible for connecting FactSet systems with DS calculation servers. • Wrote, refactored and maintained C++ codebase on VMS used for client-server communication, database updates, application logic, and QA testing.
