• Maintained the Smartcar API, a SAAS platform used by developers to interact with ”connected” cars.

• Built RESTful API endpoints for electric vehicles to get and set their battery charge limit using NodeJS & ExpressJS.

• Built rate-limiting layer into Smartcar API, using Redis & Lua script, to prevent hardware & software
side-effects to vehicles such as battery drain and account-lock.

• Investigated API behavior using logs and metrics in AWS CloudWatch and Metabase.

### Senior Backend Software Engineer @ Autograph
Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | New York, United States
• Designed and built user ”queuing” solution to allow for fair and orderly purchasing of NFTs. This in-house solution saved the company $50,000 in vendor costs, and provided a seamless experience for users.

• Architected and built modularized backend API packages. This significantly reduced development time and tech debt by sharing versioned code across dozens of repos.

• Mentored junior engineers which lead to their growth increase in productivity.

• Led design and implementation of ”token-gated” streaming offering via AWS IVS (Interactive Video
Service) to enable users to seamlessly connect with celebrities.

• Built AWS lambda functions to support on-chain data syncing.

• Implemented ”JSON Web Token” (JWT) scheme with access tokens refresh tokens to secure our backend
APIs. Designed and built ”Role-Based Authentication Control” (RBAC) scheme for Autograph Users to
allow for granular role assignment.

• Implemented caching system on the API using Redis.

• Converted the entire legacy javascript API to Typescript which led to major performance code quality
improvements.
