Utilized the Amazon Web Services (AWS) console to configure a new VPC environment for development and staging complete with subnets, route tables, gateways, and domain controllers in the London region that AWS provides. Developed a node.js application that monitors the RSS status update page provided by AWS and sends an alert to appropriate Slack channels when an issue is reported within a region or service of interest. Worked on a Powershell script that generated a report containing information about employee accounts and access privileges within Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Utilized the AAD Graph API provided by Microsoft to retrieve the necessary data. ### Software Development Intern @ Jama Software Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Portland, Oregon Area Interned as a Software Developer on a back end team responsible for managing the REST API for six months through the PDX Cooperative Education Program (PCEP) from Portland State University. Worked on stories and defects related to the REST API such as adding new endpoints or modifying, updating, and fixing current endpoints. The API was implemented in Java with help from the Spring framework, the Swagger framework, and Hibernate for interacting with the database. Worked with my team to update the deployment process for the Open Authorization (OAuth) service standard to use Consul for service discovery. Additionally, we added a way for users to generate their own client IDs and secrets through the UI that can then be exchanged for an access token. The front end portion of this project was accomplished using React. ### Software QA Engineer Intern @ NWEA Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 Interned as a Software QA Engineer on the Reliability team for six months through the PDX Cooperative Education Program (PCEP) from Portland State University. Developed a web service for communication with and retrieval of data from a postgres database. Utilized the Spring MVC framework to service endpoints, the Jackson library for JSON modeling, and the Gradle build tool to manage dependencies. Designed and implemented test clips and compositions within the SOASTA Cloudtest Suite for exercising portions of the UI and compiling performance metrics during load tests that simulated thousands of virtual users. ### Technical Course Support Specialist (TCSS) @ Portland State University Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 Worked as a TCSS for the three introductory computer science courses at Portland State taught by Senior Instructor Karla Fant.
