Reworked an SPL2 (Splunk Processing Language) interpreter in Java responsible for running security detection rules. Used data structures and algorithms, especially tree traversals, to build evaluators based on the SPL2 query and process customer security events according to the query on the fly. Later, the service became the backbone of the team’s architecture responsible for processing security events. I collaborated on the design with many engineers, including senior and principal engineers. ### Junior Software Engineer @ OZON.ru Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Moscow, Moscow City, Russia Used C# and ASP .NET Core to work on the search API for the online shopping website with an emphasis on search filters. Ported the main search API from Elasticsearch to a custom search engine. Worked on the search engine in Java using Apache Lucene. The resulting release of the new search engine increased performance and expanded the search machine learning capabilities. In addition to working on the engine, I worked on Python scripts that tracked and deleted old search indices to support indices from multiple search engines.
