- Designed the backend architecture for Tumblr Insight, an analytics tool that captures trends for Tumblr bloggers based on audience data.
- Implemented Tumblr Insight middleware in Java (EJB) that manages the interaction between data processing server, database and UI. Designed the JSON API that allows the UI to retrieve results of the analysis.
- Wrote Pig & Hive scripts that triggers daily Hadoop jobs to process Tumblr data and set up Oracle SQL Database that stores the daily results.
- Developed UI for Yahoo World Cup Index in Ember.js, a site that provides insights regarding the popularity of countries and players during 2014 World Cup based on Yahoo search data.
