• Designed the popular Flutter cross-platform layout visualization tools. By measuring the chatter, trends, and top download ranking on github, by digging deep into the design of the vision, by creating the strategy, and by the prototyped visual code editing and debugging features for Flutter, the new developer experience was attributing to a 12% increase in adoption rate in 2020, and 92% by 2023.
• My design’s goal was to accelerate the design process with visual developer tools to drive adoption of Flutter. By measuring the increase of downloads and PRs, along with surveys showing more people (42%+) globally are choosing Flutter over React or other frameworks since the release in June 2020,with results up from 30% in 2019. I measure success by these numbers, the positive reviews, and no complaints about the look/feel of the design.
• Designed Flutter keynote design layout prototype and animation for Flutter Interact community engagement. The design was successful with the adoption from the International Flutter community of over 11 billion downloads in Jan 2023 and 2 million registered developers using the tools with positive feedback.
• Contributed to the Flutter Material Design System new addition to Google’s Material Design Guide.
