# Felipe Vieira Coimbra > Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies Location: London, England, United Kingdom Profile: https://flows.cv/felipevieiracoimbra ## Work Experience ### Tech Lead @ Palantir Technologies Jan 2025 – Jan 2025 | London, England, United Kingdom ### Software Engineer @ Palantir Technologies Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 | London, England, United Kingdom Fullstack developer in Platform Security at Palantir Foundry ### Forward Deployed Software Engineer @ Palantir Technologies Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | London, United Kingdom A 10-month rotation helping UK government clients and institutions, mainly with Homes for Ukraine (Ukrainian refugee program) and NHS England programs. • Completed service and network security reviews for a generic data upload service. Designed threat models against abuse and Denial of Service from load testing. Hardened the service's security surface with techniques like endpoint auditing and rate liming. • Made several product contributions to backend services from identified customer pains and needs, like endpoint latency reductions, and FHIR XML data ingestion. • Partnered with the Foundry Slate product team to develop and launch Public Slate Apps, making point-and-click WYIWYG apps accessible to the open internet for data ingestion. Played a full-stack role, owning the implementation of app-publishing security controls, handling unauthenticated HTTPS requests, and re-writing the frontend experience to adapt Slate capabilities to a mode for the open internet. • Built PySpark data pipelines for three NHS trusts to report data from local authorities to the National body. The data was used by directors to decide on resource allocation, rollout tracking, and strategy for a nationwide health program. Owned the design and implementation of the data ingestion and pipelining, but also helped in defining the applications' data model and experience. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Palantir Technologies Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | London, England, United Kingdom Backend developer of the Platform Security group • Added final user experience features before the rollout of a new approval-orchestration service. • The service acts as the security backbone for numerous collaboration workflows in the Foundry platform, including PR approvals, access requests, ontology changes, etc. (put "Policy Bots" anywhere) • Contributions include reviewer assignment, requests for review, and notifications, all built in Java. ### Head Of Development @ AUREAN Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Remote from Brazil • Led a team of 4 on improving AUREAN's data annotation software - implemented Agile methodologies, enforced adoption of new tools, and gave developer mentorship. • Migrated AUREAN's infrastructure from a dedicated host provider to a mainstream cloud (Azure). • Designed and deployed an initial compute and storage infrastructure aimed at cost-effective MVP prototyping. • Designed the MVP's initial data model and sign up/sign in architectures. Built the system's invitation-based customer onboarding and an OAuth2+OIDC sign in workflow. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Microsoft Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Brazil • Worked in the Windows Admin Center (WAC) team inside Azure. WAC is a free platform for admins to remotely manage network edge resources in any scale, from small businesses to large datacenters. • Improved and extended the product's Angular component library with a new Dashboard control. • The control allows users to edit persistent grid layouts of iframe applications, allowing vendors to customize their own experience. ### Research And Development Intern @ Cisco Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco Bay Area • Worked on the Deep Fusion Reasoning Engine (DFRE) project, a research into an AGI architecture that combined Data Fusion, Deep Learning and Reasoning. • DFRE solutions aimed at maintaining explainability, incorporating causal modeling and being able to handle tail events. It took advantage of state of the art deep learning models and non-deterministic logical inference. • I designed a queue-based architecture for DFRE to power use cases on distributed agentic learning and general visual recognition. Most of the work was done with Python, Perl, and Java. I orchestrated release deployment with Docker and custom tooling. Redis was employed for caching and persistent storage. ### Software Engineer Intern @ VTEX Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | Rio de Janeiro Area, Brazil • Worked improving Dev Experience inside the VTEX IO platform. • Developed a transpiler from TypeScript to GraphQL SDL and embedded it into the VTEX IO build system. • The transpiler cut the need for duplicated data model definitions, reducing GraphQL-powered backends' maintenance effort by roughly half. • This tool was the first strategic step towards a unified and automatic end-to-end static typing of React+Node projects. The transpiler is an open source VTEX fork, available at https://github.com/vtex/ts2gql/ ### Software Engineer Intern @ DogHero Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | São Paulo Area, Brazil • Created a dashboard for pet hosts to visualize their history of profits and losses. • Developed an Android app UI with Java+Android SDK and an API with Ruby on Rails. ## Education ### Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA ### High School Diploma Instituto Dom Barreto ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/felipevcoimbra --- Source: https://flows.cv/felipevieiracoimbra JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/felipevieiracoimbra/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-30
