• Used SAS programming to analyze HIV/AIDS surveillance data -­‐‑ Enhanced HIV/AIDS Reporting System (eHARS)

• Analyzed and synthesized data from multiple sources for the Georgia integrated HIV epidemiologic profile

• Conducted analysis of HIV surveillance data focusing on longitudinal reports of CD4 and viral load tests, proxies for HIV care visits. Sought to characterize the degree of “churn” in the system

• Interpreted the results of the statistical analyses. Plotted graphs and computed summary statistics to display important features of a set of data

• Presented work to the HIV Epidemiology unit and wrote factsheets on selected population

Completed QA/QC testing for botanical, protein, and multivitamin raw materials and finished products. Tested product components with appropriate solvent. Ran 50 tests for 15 samples per day, testing error margin for concentrations through linearity study. Techniques/equipment used include HPLC/UPLC, ICP-OES, NanoDrop and FT-IR; calibrated HPLC/UPLC machines on 12-month basis. Identified issues in testing phase, such as need for different solvent; calculated solvent ratios.

Reported test results; created new database to store sample information and test results for quality assurance department. Worked independently for ICP-OES testing and collaborated with team for HPLC testing. Simplified HPLC/UPLC testing process, developing database to store standardized information by reference number. Delivered training for new employees on worksheets/raw material release forms and HPLC/UPLC.

Conducted phone surveys for insurance/banking companies, leveraging language skills in English and Mandarin.

Contributed to research on function of SMC3 protein, conducting experiments to purify protein; presented research results. Fielded student questions and taught lab techniques, leading lab section of more than 30 students. Supported graduate research in NMR lab, maintaining three NMR machines; produced instruction books for using NMR machines and reading results. Assisted professor of general chemistry course, preparing and distributing lecture notes and setting up equipment.
