I am a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer with 2 years of high-growth startup experience. I am a graduate of Flatiron School's full-time Software Engineering Live program and I completed my MA in English Literature at Western Illinois University where my research focused on depictions of religion in U.S. Latinx immigrant narratives. I am passionate about bridging the gap between tech and the humanities. 

I am seeking a career in the tech industry that allows me to incorporate my interests in languages (both human and computer) and forming connections with people. Whether I’m investigating a bug, digging into some pair programming, or building out a new feature, I approach my work with enthusiasm and curiosity. 

My prior experiences studying and interning abroad have made me adept at navigating cross-cultural communication. Through my work experience teaching and providing individual writing consultations, I have developed skills in writing with attention to a variety of audiences, purposes, and genres.
