# Frankie Ottomanelli > AI DevEx Engineer Location: New York City Metropolitan Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/frankieottomanelli As a self-taught Full Stack Software Engineer and Head of UI/UX Development, my passion for learning has been the driving force behind my career progression. My academic journey began as a mathematics major, with a keen interest in statistics and research. However, I soon realized I wanted to blend numbers with human connection, leading me to double major in Psychology and Public Relations. This unique combination equipped me with the analytical rigor and communication skills vital in the tech world. My professional journey started at Tribute, a startup where I learned how different branches of a business collaborate. Wearing multiple hats, I streamlined various operations and dipped my toes into QA. My career took an exciting turn when I joined MCW as Startup Operations Manager. Here, I took over all responsibility for the websites after the CTO unexpectedly left, marking my initial strides into the world of web development. Subsequently, I landed at J Crew, a place that provided the perfect environment to hone my development skills. I began as a non-developer and swiftly advanced to a Junior Developer role, thanks to my rapidly growing JavaScript expertise. My work has included everything from modernizing the checkout experience to producing responsive HTML emails, which resulted in a higher conversion rate. After leaving J Crew, I joined Rockstar Games as a Full Stack Software Engineer. I was part of the Social Club team, working on a variety of internal applications tied to the company's iconic video games. My role was diverse and allowed me to create component libraries, optimize the codebase, design SQL databases, and write migration scripts to ensure data integrity as well as many other things. Currently, I lead UI/UX development at Seeds Investor, ensuring security and performance while enhancing user experiences. Outside of work I love to play with my dog and cats and I am in the process of learning to play piano. In this journey, I've learned that my love for learning, combined with my determination, can conquer any challenge. As I continue to grow in my career, I'm always ready to tackle new problems, learn new skills, and create impactful digital experiences. ## Work Experience ### AI DevEx Engineer @ Grow Therapy Jan 2026 – Present | New York, NY AI Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer focused on making AI a reliable, high-leverage part of engineering work at Grow Therapy.
