Technology Assisted Dietary Assessment project enables smartphones to detect calorie content in foods via image processing. This tool is aimed to help those with dietary issues manage their food intake and send this information to a medical professional in a convenient way. I learned about image clustering algorithms such as K-means and Gaussian, and helped implement Locu API to show nearby restaurants and potentially improve food detection by incorporating location data.
