# Gabriel Arkanum > Engineering at Simplr Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/gabrielarkanum I'm a product guy who loves building products and tools that empower people. I'm an engineer first, but have solid design chops and can build a product from idea to launch. I've worked with the federal government to modernize systems that impact million's of lives a year. But my passion is startups, I have been a 1st 10 employee at two startups with 1 exit so far. I've lead engineering and product at Knightley, a startup building tools and communities to make the startup journey easier for all entrepreneurs. And currently, I work on automation and applied AI initiatives at Simplr which is bringing LLMs and AI to the customer experience space. My focus these days is on full-stack engineering with a slight lean towards frontend work. I also have a workable design sense and know my way around product design. At Knightley, I began growing my skills in product management and managed product strategy & roadmapping there. I've experience working across a diverse range of fields including prototyping both software & hardware systems, mechanical design and fabrication, and electrical fabrication. I frequently program in React & Node.js and am fluent in React, Node.js, JavaScript & Python and have experience with HTML, CSS, Matlab, PHP, C#, Xamarin and other tools and languages. I have experience with full-stack development, product management, customer discovery, machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing. I'm a 2x Georgia Tech grad. I hold a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Industrial Design and my Masters in Computer Science. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Simplr Jan 2023 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area At Simplr, I design and develop features as part of our automation and applied AI initiatives in the customer experience space.
