At CelLink, we are redefining the role of the electrical interconnect, from a space drain and a parasitic loss to a multifunctional value add for our customers.
I lead end-to-end development of high-current flexible interconnect systems for EV battery packs, grid storage, aerospace, and servers. My work spans concept design, CAD execution, prototyping, validation, and release into production.
In a fast-moving startup environment, I’m both an engineering manager and a hands-on designer — balancing customer demands, manufacturing constraints, and team development.
Key responsibilities & scope:
Lead architecture and design of electrical interconnects for next-generation automotive, aerospace, and data center applications - integrating cabling, bussing, sensing, and cooling in a single assembly.
Own battery-pack current-collector design from concept through validation — optimizing mechanical, thermal, and electrical performance.
Manage the company’s design-release process across multiple programs, ensuring every drawing, BOM, and DFMEA meets internal and customer standards. Create and run engineering training programs.
Execute and review detailed CAD designs (flexible circuits, multi-layer busbars, and high-amp/voltage planar conductors), often under tight turnaround requirements.
Define and manage technical specifications - write RFQ/technical documentation and scout new suppliers.
Run prototype builds and perform validation testing, including thermal, mechanical, and electrical verification of new interconnect assemblies.
Manage and report out to leadership on customer relationship management. Research and hone expertise on new markets and customer applications.
Interface directly with customers to translate ambiguous requirements into manufacturable, high-reliability designs that ship on time.

Lead conception, design, and execution of groundbreaking high voltage and low voltage electrical interconnects for high voltage batteries. Lead and own the design process from blank slate to mid-stage execution.
Design and Conception: Research and independently seek out developments in battery/vehicle technology, to create solutions to current and future customers' engineering challenges. What I'm reading now: eenews automotive, electrek, and the LinkedIn hashtags of battery conferences worldwide. What I'm listening to now: The Energy Gang, Pivot, and Art of Procurement.
Design Development: Blank slate to functional proof of concept. Lead and Execute DFMEA; component sizing, length, and resistance calculations; creepage and clearance analysis, fastened joint analysis, EMC and parasitic capacitance analysis, and leakage current and test voltage calculations. Create end of line test plans, and create and dimension final component, sub-component, and in process drawings per ASME GD&T standards. Prototype parts and seek out new suppliers.
Tools: Microsoft Excel, Python (scikit-rf, MATLAB substitution, matrix based time dependent joule heating calculations), avid implementer of numerical methods in Python, LTSpice.
Sourcing: Identify new suppliers, for prototyping and PPAPable partners for production. Create and manage from blank slate to RFQ submission: Technical specifications, commercial documentation, indexed pricing agreements, drawings, traceability and validation requirements.

Work with suppliers, modeling engineers, and validation engineers to ensure program milestones are met, as well as to maintain and validate part quality.

Lead lab integration activities for new prototype battery modules and packs by coordinating with suppliers, design engineers, management, and other lab engineers including:
• Wiring harness design
• Designed and validated test setups and procedures for joint venture partners in China

• Troubleshoot and root cause pack integration issues in advance of pack arrival
Report status as well as potential and existing issues to design engineers
Run automated and manual testing
