full stack software engineer @ headway.co | making mental health care more accessible to all
I am a full-stack software engineer @ headway.co, with real experience in engineering for online marketplaces. I am passionate about building products that make a real impact on real people.
I love life, and live every day to the fullest.
I lead software engineering efforts at Neighbor, including management and orchestration of AWS infrastructure, architecting data pipelines, and implementing full stack applications that are scalable, efficient, and effective.
Accomplishments:
•
Engineered a robust data warehouse pipeline leveraging AWS services including DMS, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and Glue, effectively replicating real-time production database changes to a secondary data store in S3. This initiative resulted in a remarkable 12-hour reduction in daily server usage, enabling practically instantaneous data access for internal warehouse users.
•
Championed the architecture design and seamless implementation of a Headless CMS, Strapi, empowering internal teams to rapidly deploy custom landing pages using a reusable component library. The outcome was a 30% increase in advertising efficiency and a 10% boost in conversion rates, demonstrating a substantial impact on overall business performance.
•
Designed and implemented efficient DevOps pipelines that facilitated the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of a portfolio of Lambda functions, previously reliant on manual deployment processes. This initiative resulted in a significant reduction in operational costs, optimizing resource utilization and streamlining the development lifecycle.
I build innovative software for the Neighbor peer to peer marketplace using modern day technologies such as Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Remix, Kubernetes, Go, Docker, various AWS technologies, React/Typescript, and more.
Leveraged React, Typescript, and Ruby on Rails knowledge to develop cutting edge software for the Neighbor Storage hosting platform. I also set up, analyzed, and maintained several A/B tests on the front end resulting in a 14% lift in conversion rate.
