Architected and led the development of the Jackpocket iOS app from the ground up using MVVM architecture.

Recently built out Scratchers. This allows users to digitally order and scratch tickets from the Jackpocket app.

Played a key role in mitigating reliance on third-party location verification systems, passing audits with what we built internally.

Machine Learning -

Built machine learning models that are core to various services at Jackpocket, including our OCR classification model. Achieves 99.99% accuracy on all image data from lottery tickets increasing the volume of tickets we're able to process.

Helped develop and maintain a highly specialized OCR service for reading and parsing lottery ticket images with unparalleled accuracy, akin to AWS Textract or Tesseract but customized for Jackpocket’s needs.

Created MLOps pipelines using GCP, streamlining the retraining and deployment of machine learning models for increased efficiency and reliability.

Operations -

Reverse engineered QR codes used in multiple states for ordering lottery tickets, solving a complex problem and significantly improving operational scalability by leveraging my background in mathematics.

Developed all internal customer support tools, significantly reducing the workload for the support team by thousands of hours per year. Came out of hopping into CS to help out during the billion dollar jackpots that brought us to #1 in the app store.

Created tool to detect fraudulent users, mitigating suspicious activity on our platform.

Data Engineering -

Enhanced the technical maturity of Jackpocket’s systems by optimizing data pipelines, improving the handling, transfer, and sharing of critical data.

Maintained critical image processing code, from hardware integration to data preprocessing for OCR models, ensuring accurate matching of purchased lottery tickets to user orders.
