Engineer on the platform team supporting Veson Nautical's VIP maritime freight management Saas product. VIP is a web based product that enables global shipping companies to manage their freight operations and streamline their business procedures. At Veson I have made major contributions to the creation and roll out of the Datalake module, which is a highly scalable system for delivering clients massive database extracts for their internal analytics solutions.

As a platform engineer my roles included:

Day to day defect reduction on the VIP product, ranging from backend .NET server changes to front end React code changes.

New feature rollout relating to third party data integrations into our system

Continuous cross team work with the DevOps team to investigate and maintain site reliability

Assisting in the creation, roll out, and maintenance of the VIP Datalake module. This includes leveraging several AWS features such as Lambda, DynamoDb, S3, SQS, and SSM, and maintaining their state in terraform.

Worked for the testing group for G.E. Aviation in Grand Rapids Michigan. Responsible for developing new, and debugging old, software scripts for testing power supply cards for flight recording devices ('black boxes'). Made additional user interface applications used for debugging other hardware issues.
