# Gene Dreyband > UX @ U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/gene I'm an interaction designer that specializes in designing for technical enterprise products. I'm always looking for new and interesting challenges. My superpower is bringing together the right people to understand and solve for complex systems problems. As I gain more experience I've been tackling more and bigger problems over time. I'm always learning about new trends and technologies, so I'm interested in just about any problem space regardless of size or scope. When I'm not solving enterprise challenges, I explore creative applications of existing technology to solve big issues in areas like education, the arts, sustainability and urban planning for cities. ## Work Experience ### Initiative Lead - Seamless CX @ U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Jan 2023 – Present ### Senior UX Designer @ Sysdig Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco Bay Area Senior product designer for the Sysdig Secure Events feed experience for threat detection including managed policies, events feed quick filters and redesigning event details for improved context ### Senior Product Designer @ ServiceNow Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | Santa Clara, California, United States I was a senior designer on the ITSM team. Some of my core responsibilities included: designing and conducting user research, large scale information architecture redesigns, mapping out data flows, and creating end to end user experiences including journeys, sketches, mocks, storyboards, and in some cases new components. I also helped map out the larger roadmap for how ServiceNow's traditional ITIL products could evolve to meet the changing needs as more organizations move towards Cloud infrastructure or hybrid cloud & on-prem environments. In addition to my core responsibilities as a designer, I contributed to the broader design community by building collaborative partnerships between different teams, providing feedback in design reviews for products in the larger Experience Organization (the larger UX team), and champion the goal of creating more cohesive enterprise products through intentional and effective collaboration. ### Interaction Designer at Adecco onsite at Google @ Adecco Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Sunnyvale, CA From July 2018 to May 2019 I was part of the Google Enterprise UX team, where I was deeply embedded in several security products. In addition to my project, I was also one of the leads on an initiative to extend those components and patterns to make them more reusable for other teams with similar needs. In May of 2019 I joined the Cloud Healthcare and Life Sciences team, focused on growing Cloud capabilities in those specific verticals. From my previous team I bring my expertise on data privacy and security and apply it to larger scale projects within the healthcare space.
