He offers a combination of design, communications, and project management experience from his early career in tech & media. George began shifting his attention away from startups when he realized that land trusts and worker-cooperatives were more revolutionary than smartphones. He spends most days developing alternatives to capitalist structures as a Staff Owner of the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative (EB PREC) and as an advisor for both the Eden Community Land Trust and Friends of the Public Bank East Bay. He contributes his skillset to progressive projects, causes, and candidates across the country. George helped found the Hayward Community Coalition (HayCoCoa) in 2020, which successfully organized to reform policing, prevent school closures, and improve tenant protections in his hometown. George was elected to Hayward City Council in 2022, where he continues to fight against displacement as the Council's only renter. ## Work Experience ### Council Member @ City of Hayward Jan 2022 – Present | Hayward, California, United States Serving the 160,000 residents of my hometown as Hayward's youngest elected, at-large Councilmember and the Council's only renter. City representative on the AC Transit Interagency Liaison Committee and Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District Board. Council Liaison to the Personnel Commission.
