• Led development of new features in VoiceView, Amazon's screen reader built into all FireTVs, Fire

Tablets, and Echo Shows, enabling users who have blindness or low-vision to use Amazon devices.

• Introduced accessibility improvements to FireOS, Amazon's OS built off Android Open Source Project.

• Consulted internal/external app teams on accessibility best practices within Android and FireOS codebases.

• Led productionization of a tool I originally developed for a hackathon, which automatically detects

accessibility issues on FireOS/Android devices and is now available internally to all Amazon teams.

• Led accessibility expansion of a yet-to-be-released product whose specs originally weren’t supported by VoiceView, requiring extensive knowledge of the codebase and unique ideas to address device limitations.

• Introduced unique solutions to make VoiceView’s legacy codebase testable; led unit testing workshop

regarding these findings to all accessibility devs, doubling team’s code coverage with 4,000 additional

lines of code tested.

• Was a board member of Amazon's employee affinity group Bay Area People with Disabilities

• Maintain and improve the APIs that power all content displayed on the DisneyNow and ABC applications for the iOS, Android Mobile, Web, tvOS, Roku, FireTV, and AndroidTV platforms.

• Manage client integration with backend services on Android, Fire TV, and Android TV platforms, addressing backend blockers and ensuring client development runs smoothly in an agile environment.

• Led backend services support during the 2018 ABC redesign for iOS and tvOS by identifying and implementing backend changes to support all new features in the release.

• Prioritize thorough testing of new code using JUnit, Cucumber, and Java with extensive documentation.

• Promoted from Associate Software Engineer to Software Engineer in September of 2018.

Worked on the backend services that supported the ABC & DisneyNow apps, adding features to the APIs to correctly distribute content onto the apps.

Also helped develop APIs and services for an internal tool producers can use to manage video content, and created documentation and executed manual, unit, and UI testing.
