Client Project Highlights:
★ Sunbasket: Engaged to improve website UX for a meal delivery service, with work that included A/B testing of home page changes, new user account options, and a refresh of the customer experience.
★ Gobble: Joined the design team of a meal kit delivery service to tackle a backlog of creative requests for a Black Friday/Cyber Monday campaign. Created emails, inserts, and ads to drive last-minute seasonal sales. Redesigned the product’s welcome letter (link) to align with the campaign design, resulting in >$80K in gift card sales.
★ Mission Action: Engaged to support the final steps of a comprehensive brand redesign. Work included design of company slide deck templates (English and Spanish versions) and background graphics for videoconferencing.

Pendulum Therapeutics is a biotech startup focused on probiotics and products to support the gut microbiome. I was recruited by a former manager as the second hire to Pendulum’s internal creative team, with responsibility for various special projects and to support design efforts as the company expanded their product portfolio from 1 to 12 products.
Highlights:
• Executed a packaging redesign for a premium product to reduce the package size and costs.
• Designed sales collateral and marketing one-sheets for 12+ handouts.
• Illustrated or diagramed scientific concepts for presentations, brochures, and websites.
• Contributed to special projects including design of conference booths and displays, gift boxes, etc.
• Aligned teams on approval stages and documentation to reduce project spin. Created agendas, presentation decks, and follow-up items for weekly meetings.

Little Passports is an e-commerce provider of educational toys and crafts for children to learn science, arts, geography, etc. I was recruited by a former manager as the company’s first in-house graphic designer to support the marketing team during a time of significant growth in both staff and the portfolio of subscription products. Later I transitioned to the product team as its first Graphics Production Manager, with responsibility for design of physical products as the company pursued a retail presence within Target stores.
Highlights:
• Led design/redesign projects that included a comic book cover, activity book, and various retail-ready products.
• Illustrated and/or designed instructions for 50+ craft and science projects.
• Designed and produced marketing materials including ads, direct mail, package inserts, and emails. Maintained brand consistency when designing products for multiple platforms (i.e. print, web, TV).
• Facilitated weekly status meetings for product designers, editors, and sourcing teams.
• Reviewed digital art files for 300+ SKUs prior to submission to print vendors.
• Resolved production bottlenecks, tightened processes, and shortened lead times.
• Built graphic libraries, process guidelines, templates, product portfolios, tracking documents, and design specs.
• Advised on product and styling during photo and video shoots.
• Defined a new creative request intake process in Google Forms to enable measurement and tracking.

As a freelance designer I provided design and production services to private and non-profit companies, specializing in presentations, research reports, marketing emails, and UX design. My clients included SF Food Bank, Asian Women’s Shelter, Anchor Brewing, Yamaha, and Sony Music.
I also developed customer retention campaigns for dozens of magazines from seven publishers (e.g. Harvard Business Review, IDG Ventures, Active Interest Media, et al.). Projects included design of email templates, landing pages, and customer service portals.

At PCWorld I collaborated with editorial and production staff on the publishing of the digital version of the magazine.
Highlights:
• Managed small design staff and trained production team members on best practices.
• Managed freelancers including budgeting, invoicing, and ending assignments.
