Hi, I'm Grant! I love building things and learning things, which manifests itself in many different areas from software development to academic research to random hobbies. "Full stack engineer" is a boring way to describe my passion for building better, more user-friendly, more performant apps in every way possible: learning and implementing best practices, trying out new techniques, constantly innovating, and crushing tech debt. My research interests include Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Privacy and Security, and Classical Greek and Latin. In my free time I learn about cool linguistics stuff, play strategy games, make memes, and try to get enough sleep.

The class had around 30 students divided into groups of five, each led by one of six teaching assistants. As the head teaching assistant, it was my job to help new TAs learn the job, ensure uniform grading of homework and quizzes, answer difficult questions, and keep everyone on task. I also took care of various administrative tasks like taking attendance and posting assignments to the class webpage.
