As a product designer, I lead the design of projects ranging from new features up to brand new lines of business. In my first 6 months we launched a new asset management company that I designed end-to-end.
First design hire. I led a complete redesign of the product and launched 2 industry-first financial products – a college savings account with special tax benefits and a product to allow families to accept gifts to their 529 plans. The redesign of the onboarding, my first project at Backer, tripled our revenue per user (YOY) and put us on a viable path to profitability. On the strength of this work the team raised a series A, led by Crosslink Capital.
