Our team is responsible for authorization and clearing global card payment processing volume on the “big four” card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex) as well as regional providers in LATAM.

* Drove a multi-phase cross-team compliance integration update with a major network, allowing Stripe to stay compliant, avoid seven-figure fines and maintain the integrity of authorization and clearing transaction data.

* Team lead for the bi-annual Network Updates compliance for the four major networks (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AmEx). Analyzed requirements, drove timelines and compliance for network mandates, allowing Stripe to operate in compliance with the network and regional government rules, avoid millions in fines, and stay competitive as a card payment processor.

* Helped launch a major enterprise user in a new market with many integration firsts for Stripe in the region, opening up 100% processing volume growth potential.

* Drove team ownership transition and Black Friday operational readiness of a key charge-path transaction routing service. Black Friday event is Stripe’s largest daily payment processing volume of the year, successfully supporting $18B in processing volume in 2023

* Onboarded a college new hire, empowering them to deliver a successful first project critical to the team's operational & observability needs.

* Drove improvements to the team processes, such as establishing a well-received team retrospective.

* Led a full stack team building internal tooling & applications for payment operations, KYC, fraud, credit operations & customer success functions among others

* Improved usability and manual processes up to 15% through automation via internal tooling.

* Grew team from three to six engineers and contractors.

* Drove PCI compliance projects for services owned by the team.

* Led the migration of Tally's legacy banking ledgers to a scalable architecture, resulting in 300% query performance in app queries. Delivered migration of Tally balances for all users on time and with 99.9% accuracy

* Led the development of banking ledgers to track user balances by individual disbursements from conception to mvp to adoption. Backfilled 1 billion ledger entries into the new architecture with > 99% accuracy.

* Design & implementation of the payment components for Tally's first partnership with a national bank

* Improved the engineering org on-call schedule to allow ownership of services & on-call support by team

* First backend engineer outside the founding team. Designed & deployed services & frameworks that saw the company grow from Series A to Series D

* Project management & tech lead responsibilities on key company initiatives, working with the team to deliver on time and with quality.

* Mentor other engineers on the team to empower ownership & productivity
