I am a versatile java engineer with a track record of innovation. At my current position, I have instituted multiple new initiatives, including spearheading the move to a more scalable, service-oriented system, and utilizing new frameworks like Kafka, RxJava 2 and Redis. 

Known for my ability to improve legacy code and create new systems, I am able to deliver top-notch service, exceed expectations, and create business growth.

One of my career highlights up to this point has been leading the grand-prize winning team of the Angel Hack / Febreze Home Hackathon. I led my team of four to conceive, develop and demonstrate an immersive app that uses visuals, sounds, scents, humidity, and temperature to transport users to destinations around the world. 

I am a good communicator with experience leading teams, mentoring junior staff, and making presentations.
