Jan 2015 – Jan 2020 | Sunnyvale, CA - Visbit Pro/Lite 8K VR Player: Developed the core technology that enables 8K 60FPS video and Ambisonics audio playback for mobile headsets such as GearVR, Oculus Go/Quest, Vive Focus, and Pico, while most other solutions only have a hard limit of 4K video playback. Optimized the pipeline from network and codec to multimedia rendering. - Visbit Pro/Lite Cloud Transcoder: Built a scalable cloud infrastructure with docker on AWS and AliCoud, for pre-processing and hosting VR content. Used FFmpeg intensively to generate multiple content formats for different devices and network conditions. - 8K Live Solution: Optimized the video processing 20 times faster with GPU to achieve real-time.
