Leading a cross-disciplinary team of mechanical, robotics and automation engineers at Tesla, I architect and deliver robotic test systems from concept to first build. Starting from a blank page, we design, analyze, and fabricate custom equipment—integrating sensors, servos, pneumatics, and controls—then validate and fine-tune the system for production release.

• Managed the development of a robotic system used to pick and place DUT for metrology purposes.

• Led a multidisciplinary engineering team to define requirements, select vendor, design architecture, perform sensor DOE, develop metrology process and etc. for an optical metrology machine.

A few examples of current/past activities include:

• Managing multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, optical metrology, software, etc. engineering. Recruiting new team member, conducting performance review, career development, design review, etc.

• Technical project management, vendor selection, budgeting, defining requirements, developing new technologies, technical leading of internal/external teams, architecting new design (sensor/stage selection, optical, etc.).

• Creating roadmap, people management, Metrology System Analysis, data analysis, etc.

• Conducting design review meeting for mechanical, optomechanical and software compositions.

• Technical leading of a large multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of Mechanical, Analysis, Control, etc. towards designing, manufacturing and testing a complex module for next generation advanced Lithography machine.

• Defining, clarifying, and documenting hardware design requirements; performing the necessary parametric analysis and tradeoffs; design the architect layout and sub-assemblies (product architecture); organizing product design reviews and brainstorming to mitigate high impact risks; vender management, building relationship with multidisciplinary and teams.

• Performing (and/or coaching) critical Multiphysics analysis (structural, thermo-mechanical, fluid, gas, etc.) to verify top-level system performance. Working with cross-functional teams to validate mechanical design, simulations, testing, identifying risks. Proposing simple and effective physics-based modeling to characterize complex system behavior.

• Leveraging quantitative approaches and knowledge of analysis, reliability, prototyping, empirical testing, mechanical design, manufacturing considerations (supply chain, etc.), in order to assess the technical feasibility of various solutions.
