Crafting the future of commerce through research-driven, business-backed design |
📍Boulevard
Hi, I’m Hamza. I’m a product designer who helps companies envision and deliver cutting-edge experiences to consumers. As a designer, I believe that my work should be user-focused and business-backed, with a pulse on what’s next.
Boulevard is the premiere business-in-a-box platform for beauty, wellness, and self-care businesses. As Senior Product Designer on the Commerce squad, I envision and design the selling tools and strategies to help Boulevard businesses grow their revenue.
Led design functions within the Creator Commerce pod, which enables Teachable creators to successfully manage their school’s financial health, sales, growth, and success. This includes the design of experiences like payment gateways, sales reporting, affiliate experiences, referral processes, and more.
Key contributions include designing the platform’s new memberships experience, revamping the affiliate program, enabling the sale of digital downloads to increase creator GMV, and expanding critical sales reporting capabilities across the platform.
Led the discovery, problem definition, and design of Teachable’s user tagging experience, which introduced a new way for creators to organize and manage groups of students in their school. This addressed several user pain points in the realm of student management while helping retain subscriber count and drive growth.
Planned, coordinated, and carried out robust user research, including user interviews, competitive analyses, customer support ticket audits, experience audits, and collaborative workshops with stakeholders. Synthesized research findings to develop insights and identify user-focused solutions to meet business objectives.
Paired with fellow team leads representing Product & Engineering to establish & temper a roadmap for 2022, working diligently across workstreams to identify opportunity areas to address user needs and meet business goals.
