I was part of a team that focused on backend Java development projects.
Containerized applications using Docker, integrated with Kubernetes for deployment (created Helm charts, integrated with GitLab pipeline, and leveraged Rancher) to enable horizontal scaling.
Built test cases in JUnit to ensure product quality and maintain and refactor the existing legacy codebase. Implemented monitoring metrics using Grafana and Dynatrace dashboards, which facilitated the identification of batching issues and led to optimize system performance.
Project highlights:
Led the efforts for development of a greenfield internal compliance application that stores compliance data (e.g. communications opt-in/opt-out). Independently implemented a CockroachDB schema that optimized data storage and retrieval, enabling seamless interaction with our APIs.
Contributed to greenfield development of an application that stores patient account balances, transaction history, insurance details, and other data, as part of Demandforce’s efforts to move to microservices architectures. Implemented database schema, all endpoints, and integrated with Kafka.
Contributed to development of a library similar to an API gateway for the front-end which enables a front-end to use the given functions/methods, give it parameters, with the functions making calls to external APIs.
