To support this transition, my team shifted focus to operational fulfillment solutions for our global e-commerce merchants who list their product across Shopping, Search, Images, Youtube, Google Maps, and more. I hired and led a team of up to 8 UX designers and worked alongside my product management and engineering partners on both strategic and tactical level. The team I led was responsible for the UX for automated fast shipping and logistics, easy returns, product uploads, shopper & merchant support, and retailer standards. We created new partner integration features for product data management and synchronization with merchants' e-commerce systems. The analytical and predictable data visualizations my team built show ROl (on ad money spent, promotions, free listings), perfect product mix by seasonality, competitive performance, insights about shippings and returns logistics to improve click through conversion and grow shipping coverage. Our efforts were vital to transforming Google Shopping into a highly competitive e-commerce giant that perfectly compliments Google Search. Our user-friendly solutions increased the number of online businesses utilizing Google Shopping to over 500,000. Google Shopping now accounts for over $1 billion dollars in annual revenue and has become one of the most effective platforms for retailers to promote their brands. ### Enterprise UX Lead, Google Express @ Google Jan 2016 – Jan 2019 | Mountain View Google Express was an online platform for same-day delivery that specialized in fulfillment and operate through partnerships with multiple local stores. I was brought onboard to establish and lead a dedicated Merchant Operations UX team. Our new team tackled complex challenges around logistics and supply chain management, considering factors such as cost, speed and quality to fully utilize the stores, warehouses, assortments and workforces of our merchant partners. Our goal was to craft effective and seamless end-to-end experiences within a single service ecosystem across merchant onboarding, fulfillment, delivery and in-store operations. Along with forming and mentoring the team, I created an operations platform of more than 9 tools with simple yet sophisticated key workflows that helped retailers and merchants improve their fulfillment and in-store operations. As a result of our efforts, shoppers were able to add products from different local merchants into one single cart and make an instant purchase. We played a key role in reducing delivery times from 3-day to reliable 1-day delivery and bringing on board over 1,000+ stores. ### Product Design Consultant @ FR8Star Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | San Francisco Bay Area As a Design Consultant for FR8Star, I had the opportunity to satisfy my passion for early-stage start-ups by creating the initial design for a complex web platform and mobile app for truckers from scratch. Working closely with the CEO and an outsourced development team, I defined a design language and created reusable UI components that laid the foundation for a consistent user experience. In close collaboration with our engineering partners, we translated my designs into a functioning product. I trained a junior designer to continue the UX design based on the foundation I laid. My contribution not only established a user-centered design process but also provided a scalable platform for FR8Star's two-sided marketplace that connects shippers with transport companies through an automated system. With a monthly active user base of 100k, FR8Star quickly grew into a market leader in the transportation industry and was eventually acquired by one of its channel partners in 2019. The platform's success and scalability were reflected in its integration into B2B marketplaces across the US, Canada, ANZ, and the UK. I am proud to have played a critical role in FR8Star's success and to have contributed to the growth and scalability of the platform. ### Sr. UX Manager @ Good Technology Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Sunnyvale In my management role at Good Technology, a leading mobile security company focused on providing secure enterprise solutions for mobile devices in the BYOD (bring your own device) workplace, I evangelized rapid iterative design techniques and spearheaded efforts to define and establish mobile UX and UI product design standards. This resulted in one coherent experience across all operating systems and platforms. I led the efforts of my UX team to completely overhaul the UX and UI of our mobile product suite of 5 complex B2B apps across iOS and Android on both phone and tablet. We also focused on transforming the initially engineering-driven company culture into a user-centric one. Both of these major efforts were a significantly contributing factor to the company’s valuation of $1.1 billion, the successful acquisition by BlackBerry in September 2015, and the beginning of Blackberry's transition from secure hardware to secure software. By acquiring Good Technology, BlackBerry expanded its portfolio of secure enterprise solutions, including mobile device management (MDM), secure email, collaboration tools, and app management. After our acquisition, I lead the rebranding efforts of all our mobile apps for Blackberry. The design was so solid and timeless that is has mainly stayed the same until this day. ### Principal User Experience Designer @ Good Technology Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 | Sunnyvale With a focus on mobile, I both art directed an international team of designers and provided hands-on user experience design across all of Good Technology's collaboration products. We worked in cross-collaboration with PM and ENG leadership to define the vision and help build the next generation of products. ### Advisor @ Pay With Drop Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 | Burlingame, California, United States I advised the early-stage startup Drop in all things design. I helped the CEO and CFO to define Drop's product offering and explore the best product-market-fit, created the pitch deck, defined the initial look and feel of the consumer app and point-of-sale system, and led several rounds of user research. Drop enabled customers to order and pay via their phone in restaurants without having to wait for service personnel. Its white-labeled beacon-driven technology enabled merchants to connect real time analytics driven proximity marketing at the point of purchase decision, driving up sales and revenue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=marSXdraa58 ### MBA, Design Strategy @ California College of the Arts Jan 2011 – Jan 2013 | San Francisco CCA's MBA in Design Strategy is design-centric, innovation-focused and integrates sustainability.
