Current projects include leather handbags, cases, and accessories. Designing a new men's underwear line, designing plus size activewear, and creating a line of patterned socks for my clients. Responsible for trend research, concept development, design/illustration, collection building as well as first spec. ### Director of Product Development, Gift & Accessory @ Formation Brands LLC Jan 2009 – Jan 2010 Responsible for developing gift and accessory product for a broad range of accounts and pricepoints. Designed, created illustrations, performed trend research and concept development. Worked closely with graphics team. Supported sales team with products applicable for their private label accounts. Communicated design and material information to China office for sample purposes. Assisted owner, Nira Kaplan, with design, merchandising, private label product development as well as fabric sourcing, sales and customer contact. Responsible for the acquisition of the Coldwater Creek account. Accountable for design, merchandising, and sales for this private label manufacturer. Developed product, created presentation boards and illustrations. Sourced all fabric and trims. Managed timely development of proto, fit, and photo samples. Handled all communication between buyers, inventory planners, and managed the facilitation of orders and re-orders. Worked closely with client's technical staff and managed the flow of information between patternmakers and production staff.
