I am a Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL), where I work on the Xclipse GPU user mode driver development for the Exynos SoC. I have a Ph.D. in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University, where I researched example-based texture synthesis and inverse procedural modeling. My core competencies include computer graphics algorithms and APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL), AI inference accelerator, and GPU.

Previously, I was a Software Engineer at Google for four years, where I contributed to the Google Photos Android app and the Google Edge TPU AI inference accelerator. I designed and implemented automatic photo enhancement algorithms, UI elements of the movie editor for Chromebook, and ML-based image processing models. I also worked on the software simulator and the inference result analysis tools for the Edge TPU. I am passionate about creating innovative and user-friendly solutions that leverage the power of AI and graphics. extension, encompassing the complete graphics stack from Vulkan API through user mode driver
integration, shader compilation, and GPU architectural considerations.
▪ Contributed to an internal implementation of AMD GPURT library by conducting BVH builder
functional analysis and implementing new BVH features to optimize ray tracing acceleration
structures.
