During my undergraduate studies, I got the opportunity to meet people with similar interests and potential that shaped me considerably. I worked as Research Intern with well-renowned organization - Space Applications Center, ISRO. I researched on the techniques to reduce cross-polarization in Microstrip Patch Antennas in S-band. Working on the hardware of antennas, I have always wondered to study the data transmission as bits to different hosts. This curiosity led me to Masters in Electrical Engineering in the field of Computer Networks at San Jose State University. I also actively practice RajYoga Meditation. ## Work Experience ### Software Test Engineer @ Versa Networks Jan 2018 – Present | Santa Clara, California - Enhancement of automation framework required to write libraries for cli command output for verifying the functionalities of protocols used in Versa Appliance - Automated the test cases in Python to test the DUTs functionality for VRRP, Direct Internet Access (DIA), EIM/EIF - Lead the automation project to bring up sanity and regression suites for Versa’s Switching project to automate L2 protocols - Recreate the customer scenarios by analyzing the issue using system logs or debug commands and implementing in the local setups to provide necessary bug fixes or workarounds - Tested and automated the functionality of the features such as Network Obfuscation and Traffic Steering - Handled an automation project for the customer where the testcases had to be automated for the scenarios based on Customer’s Network topology - Bringing up the Network Topology testbeds using KVM Hypervisor and enhancing the automation scripts to automate process of bringing up the setup ### QA Automation Intern @ Versa Networks Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | San Jose ▪ Enhancement of automation framework required for verifying the functionalities of protocols used in Versa Appliance ▪ Automating test cases in Python to test the DUTs functionality for Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) ▪ Troubleshooting communication failures by analyzing the network topology, system logs and provide necessary bug fixes Technologies used: Python, Linux- Shell Scripting, TCP/IP, Network Sniffer (Wireshark), Linux command-line interface ### Instructional Student Assistant @ San Jose State University Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | San Jose Assisting under-graduate and graduate students for Internetworking and Probability, Random Variables and Stochastic Processes. ### Research Intern @ Space Applications Centre, ISRO Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Ahmedabad Area, India The aim of the project was to research on various techniques to reduce the cross-polarization in the patch antennas using defective ground plane without reducing the gain of the antenna using Anasoft HFSS. By using the defective ground plane of different shapes, the cross polarization was improved by minimum 10 dB in azimuthal plane. The result was tested on different patch antenna having different dielectric constant to verify the result. Second project was designing a broadband micro-strip patch antenna in S-band to produce circular polarization using Wilkinson Power Divider. Thirdly, the effect of varying the length to width ratio of micro-strip patch antenna on the cross-polarization was studied using Anasoft HFSS to choose the proper dimensions for the first part of the project. Hardware testing: The return loss of the antenna was tested using Vector Network Analyzer and the gain of antenna under Anechoic Chamber.
