Wrote code to efficiently process ocean currents data from hindcast files for the project “Navigating Autonomous Seaweed Growth Platforms by Leveraging Complex Ocean Currents”
•
Wrote helper functions such as spatial and temporal interpolation for seaweed path-planning
Developed gRPC API to onboard partner financial data attributes such as validating, creating, updating, and retrieving clients’ data to and from database
•
Refactored a utility class with new framework to achieve higher efficiency, readability, flexibility and reduced hundreds of lines of redundant code
Built a software that is currently operating on signals from outer space in an effort to detect possible signs of extraterrestrial intelligence
•
Wrote python script to attenuate radio signals received from the telescope system at Allen Telescope Array through raspberry pi with programmable GPIOs
•
Assembled code into a universal Python package compatible with terminal commands and the user can get detailed instructions for the software usage by running the help command
•
Functionalities include selecting which telescope to operate on, the attenuation level of specific telescopes, and restoring previous commands when hardware fails
