The brainchild of a high schooler, Studysnap is a an AI powered mobile app providing adaptive and personalized learning experiences for students using responsible AI.
My role - provide mobile app UX designs and AI product strategy consultation.
AI product design highlights:
• Ensuring trust and accuracy and trade-offs in user inputs, designing for optimal experiences
• Ethical use of AI in a conversational interface for age-appropriate interactions
• Minimal personal data collection, especially important for applications for minors
• Smart prompting to guide the AI towards providing guided responses focusing on learning than solutions
• Adaptive responses adjusted to individual user's interests and learning techniques
Mobile App design highlights:
• Leveraged insights from initial user research and competitive analysis to design relevant app features
• Simple chat based interface with features like image uploads, document uploads, live photo scanning, free chat to give students maximum agency in how they want guidance
• Iterative feature design with incremental feature additions
• Define brand with colors and typography for an app for kids, focused on reducing eye strain and distractions
• Creation of user flows, information architecture, high level and detailed designs, interactive prototypes as well as light splash animations
My tools:
• Uizard to convert paper sketches to wireframes,
• Adobe Illustrator for logo redesign
• Figma and plugins to create user flows, high level and detailed designs for mobile app, with dev handoff
• Online tools like Material Design, Color Space, and Color Kit to define an accessible color palette
• Jitter and ezgif for animations
What's coming next?
• App is launched and is being updated constantly to get most accurate results
• Usability test planned to make the app more optimal and engaging for students
• Newer interactive features like gamification, badging, streaming responses
