🔹 At Bing Performance, I drive end-to-end improvements on the Search results page, directly impacting key perf metrics, alongside engagement, ad clicks, and query volume. My work spans metric design, debugging workflows, and performance sign-offs.
🔹 Led the adoption of Interaction to Next Paint (INP) as Bing’s responsiveness metric - built debugging workflows, identified major responsiveness bottlenecks, and enabled systematic monitoring and improvements at scale.
🔹 Partnered with dozens of feature teams, influencing architecture and recommending code-level optimizations to ensure every change meets Bing’s performance standards.

⭐ Focus: Copilot and Edge New Tab (Web Performance)
🔹Identified and shipped a Chat FTR (First Token Response) improvement of 3% at P90 in the initial version of Microsoft Copilot.
🔹Implemented a performance optimization to pre-establish WebSocket connections on user intent; deprioritized before shipping due to organizational changes.
🔹Shipped Web Vitals for Edge NTP (New Tab Page) with ~95% reliability, strengthening performance monitoring and unlocking actionable insights for feature teams.
🔹Optimized Edge NTP performance by sending navigation requests before Service Worker boot and implementing a cache–network race strategy for slow devices, improving Revenue (+1.5%) and DAU (+0.5%) metrics.
🔹Identified a gap in the build system and introduced a Webpack loader that eliminated unnecessary schema config files in production, cutting 400KB of JavaScript and improving load times.

⭐ Focus: Microsoft Teams and People Experiences
🔹Upgraded the client side architecture of “People Search” component in MS Teams that improved result relevance and reduced latency by 300ms at P90.
🔹Explored MetaOS to design a POC for loading the Outlook People module in Teams, estimated effort across areas, and evaluated GraphQL-based data retrieval solutions in both apps to weigh trade-offs against reimplementation.

🔹Drove a year-long performance initiative for Outlook Mobile Web, reducing “Outlook Mail” load time from 4.5s to 3s.
🔹Established monitoring infrastructure to track performance at scale and engineered a Service Worker, improving speed, resilience, and reliability of the mobile experience.

🔹Among one of the early 6 engineers on Outlook Mobile Web, I developed and stabilized the Email app for 70M+ monthly active users.
🔹I later planned and migrated core dependencies to a shared infrastructure with desktop web, driving collaboration and significant build improvements.
🔹To scale the team, I led a two-month Web Bootcamp in a team of 4 that onboarded 25 engineers and accelerated their contributions.
