I was deployed to Philadelphia by the DNC to support the Harris for President campaign's data team for the final few weeks of the campaign (Oct. 21 - Nov. 6). I worked 7 days a week in-person, writing Python code, SQL queries and Google Sheets formulas, and using various tools in NGP VAN Votebuilder.

Full-stack developer assigned to multiple projects, including serving as the primary frontend developer for the DNC's flagship voter education website iwillvote.com (React, Typescript)

Also worked on internal tooling (React/Typescript and Python/Django) used by Democratic candidates and organizers across the United States to analyze data, organize campaigns, raise money and get out the vote on election day

In this first-ever role at The Post, I helped devise and lead adoption of our accessibility standards, which were open sourced at build.washingtonpost.com/resources/accessibility. I wore multiple hats in this role, writing code for multiple teams (primarily in React/Typescript) and conducting manual testing with assistive technology while also identifying and presenting accessibility solutions to stakeholders.

I worked primarily in Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and Python. Projects included building React components from scratch, converting code from Javascript to Typescript and reformatting data e.g. exporting results from Dynamo to xml. I spent lots of time in AWS, too.

I met hard deadlines (literal U.S. election dates) for newsroom stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
