Jan 2023 – Jan 2026 Led UX team of 6 designers who worked across 3 product orgs to ensure the thriving and safety of Reddit’s communities, their members and moderators. ### Staff Product Designer @ Reddit, Inc. Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 Initiated and led UX function for product experimentation and business analytics tooling for Reddit. Hired as first designer, but also operated as product, research, and key thought partner to Data Science and Engineering. Later hired and managed 2 design contractors due to expanded scope and leadership support for UX-driven experience upgrade. ### Design Lead, Compliance @ Google Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 As part of move to full-time, intentionally took on net-new area for design at the company. Initiated and led UX function for compliance and security risk management product suite for Alphabet, including strategic contribution, cross-functional leadership team engagement, and management of 4 US- and EU-based design contractors. ### Interaction Designer, Google Analytics @ Google Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | Mountain View, California Led design sprint and co-designed concepts and presentation for Google Analytics vision: a unified platform for user-centric (vs. web-/session-based) analytics to track customer journeys and competitively uplevel tooling. Part of UX team that launched Google Marketing Platform, a unified advertising and analytics platform that brought together and built connections between existing tooling suite. ### Design Manager, New Product Development + Strategic Initiatives @ Morningstar Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 Managed the design function for a major corporate initiative to build a new, web-based platform for software products, starting with its Institutional flagship, Morningstar Direct. This was an evolution in our products (from downloadable to cloud-based) and UX as a practice at the company. Led team of 9 experience and visual designers defining the info architecture and navigation, workflows, interaction patterns, and visual language; also organized a cross-product team and initiated documentation of interface standards to establish a design system. Drove problem definition, design strategy, prioritization; facilitated planning, progress, and user testing. Advocated on behalf of the project and its design cross-team and cross-company. ### Design Team Lead, Institutional Software + New Product Development @ Morningstar Jan 2009 – Jan 2013 Led as senior designer and team lead for Institutional business unit and the company’s largest software product, Morningstar Direct. Built new features end-to-end, including user testing and cross-functional collaboration across Chicago, Shenzhen, and Mumbai. Guided team of 5 designers with project management, design leadership, and performance evaluation. In August 2012, worked from the Mumbai office to help establish a new project team of developers and project managers. ### Senior Designer, Marketing + Product @ Morningstar Jan 2004 – Jan 2009 Designed experience across touchpoints for Data and Institutional business units from marketing (brochures, user guides, marketing and conference collateral, print and online ads) to product (reports, charts, graphs, web and desktop software tools). Developed proprietary data visualizations with research and subject matter experts, including the Market Barometer for index returns.
