Embark ran one of the industry’s most sophisticated autonomous freight programs — with long-haul trucks running out of Oakland, Southern California, and Texas, as well as a Western Australian mine site trial — before falling victim to the 2022 downturn. My team built systems to stream video and remotely monitor the fleet.

Upright Media made it easy to take video from traditional formats (like TV) and repurpose it for exciting new formats like Snapchat and Instagram Stories. We offered the most collaborative way to edit video in a web browser, powered by automatic deep learning suggestions, and many of our clients relied on us to apply those edits quickly at scale.

At Datagami we built APIs and a web interface to streamline data science process and help tidy messy datasets. We consulted to clients in cybersecurity, CPG marketing, and minerals, and were an early player in the ecosystem of apps built on Slack.

AdMob was acquired in mid-2010 for $700MM. I helped keep the old service running, made small contributions to Display Ad Builder, and spent a lot of time making charts.

For most of its independent existence, AdMob was the market leader in mobile advertising. I worked on ad targeting, the pricing engine, and internal business intelligence.

### Frontend Developer @ Vuze

Vuze was a reincarnation of Azureus, then the world’s leading torrent client with 30MM active users. Among other things I worked on an ill-fated content store project. The company later pivoted into set top box hardware and was acquired by Tivo / Rovi / Xperi.
