I like everything about cars ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Applied Intuition Jan 2025 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area ### Platform Reliability Engineer - HIL @ Cruise Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 | San Francisco Bay Area Helped maintain and scale many of Cruise's HIL's and test setups! ### System Integration Engineer @ Tesla Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 -Work cross functionally with different teams for development lifecycle and firmware release of Tesla's next generation charging systems. -Develop test automation with utilizing pytest to automate firmware regression testing. -Lead, debug and run firmware regression/validation for firmware releases and new feature definition. -Debug firmware features at the system level and work with developer on full resolution -Helped create a HIL to simulate Tesla's AC charging product. -Visualize and improve automation test coverage. -Create, maintain, and scale Linux OS test setups for test automation platform. -Debug and fix hardware and firmware issues on complex, high power/high voltage products ### Charging Systems Integration Engineering Intern @ Tesla Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Palo Alto, California, United States For a year long internship, at Tesla I was tasked with helping scale their test automation infrastructure for their charging products and performing integration/QA work for their next generation Tesla Charging Systems. Some of the tasks/skills included: -Performed hardware and firmware integration of next generation Tesla Charging Systems. -Integrated and debugged features at the system level and release the changes to production. -Helped develop automated test infrastructure for validation functionality. -Automation infrastructure utilized custom made PCB HW designed in Altium, leveraged internal Tesla Automation tools and Python + pytest. Jupyter Notebooks were created that post-analyze data for pass/fail criteria. -Debug and fix hardware and firmware issues on complex, high power/high voltage products. ### Electrical Team Member @ University of Alberta EcoCar Team Jan 2018 – Jan 2021 | Edmonton, Canada Area The University of Alberta EcoCar team is an undergraduate student group that designs, builds, and tests hydrogen fuel cell vehicles that compete in the Shell Eco-Marathon. The aim is to push the limits of efficient transportation by developing a fuel cell car with maximum mileage, as well as to increase awareness of hydrogen fuel cell technology and efficiency. I took part in the electrical design team. Here I helped design, create, and test the hydrogen PCB that is used for the vehicle. The hydrogen PCB is a safety tool that measures the hydrogen level in the car to ensure that it is at a stable level to prevent combustion issues. ### Software Engineer | ADAS & Autonomous @ General Motors Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Markham, Ontario, Canada For an 8 month Co-op I worked with the "Active Driving Active Safety & Autonomous" group under the "Data Recording and Feature Performance Analytics" team for a Software Tools & Analytics Co-op at General Motors. From this Co-op I strengthened my Python development skills, and coding architecture skills. Some of my tasks during my 8 month co-op included: - Constructed test plans for the active safety software tools of GM Model Year 21-23 vehicles for quality assurance and quality control - Developed an automated testing framework in Python to run the created test plans. - Executed hundreds of test cases to verify software tool functionality for vehicle releases. - Interpreted and extrapolated vehicle safety data to provide insights to various stakeholders. - Utilized SQL to query vehicle data in the Hadoop ecosystem. ### Curriculum Developer @ University of Alberta Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Edmonton, Alberta, Canada For a 4 month co-op near the beginning of COVID I worked with the University of Alberta to help professors transfer to online and remote teaching. Some of the tasks included: - Development of videos and documents to aid in online delivery of lab materials and over six courses. - Carried out complex analysis and updates to 10 lab manuals and other technical materials due to changes brought on by remote course delivery. - Collaborated with 10+ team members on various analytical and content design problems to alleviate course delivery issues brought on by COVID-19 ### Test Engineer @ Valid Manufacturing Ltd. Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada For an 8-month co-op ended short by COVID-19, I was hired by Valid Manufacturing as an electronic test technician. The primary core of my work was running tests for the companies "Vehicle Graphical Instrument Clusters" that go onto vehicles for companies such as Foretravel, Entegra, Newell, and Spartan Motors. -Produced and applied knowledge of technical data and testing capabilities to assist with the improvement of manufactured products and development processes. - Developed automated electronic test methods that quickened product development. - Utilized C# and VB scripts and Lab Jack devices for automation. - Utilized knowledge of vehicle CANBUS networks to test vehicle graphical instrument clusters to determine or verify functionality and performance. - Executed test plans and effectively documented test environment, process, and results ### Electrical/Power Team Member @ Albertaloop Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 AlbertaLoop is the University of Alberta's very own hyperloop group. The student group aims to design, build, and a compete a Hyperloop Pod. During my time with the group I helped with the initial research and possibilities of the hyperloop. ### Warehouse Associate @ Amazon Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Vancouver, Canada Area ### Academic Tutor @ Math4Me Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Fleetwood, B.C.
