• Design and develop features associated with Solaris kernel and FMA (Fault Management Architect) to enhance the system serviceability.
• Leverage skills and experience in problem-solving and customer resolution.
• Work on numerous kernel subsystems included but not limited to procfs, virtual memory, fault management, virtualization subsystems.
• Work on a variety of technologies (software, hardware, and solutions) as an individual contributor, as part of a team and leading efforts.
• Mentor new employees and interns
INDUSTRIAL PROJECT
Software FMA Core File Diagnosis
Create new core file type for software running in Solaris for diagnostic purpose.
Generate human-readable summary information for program core dumps, e.g. stacks, args etc...
Generate system FMA alert to notify the admin.
Offer editable configuration to users who can set diagnostic core content, repository path, diagnostic rules etc...
Develop full function test suite.
Ship with Solaris 12.
